I think it’s safe to say most of us overlook (and under-appreciate) the fact that we have a fully staffed immune army protecting us 24x7x365…. That is, until we get sick.

However, after our sniffles are gone, right on cue, we’re right back to forgetting. Specifically the fact that this highly trained group of cellular assassins is on patrol, and very much keeping us alive. Pretty awesome, I know!

That being said, as you may of noticed (depending on where you are in life), this army within tends to become increasing less reliable for the average person as we age. Even (and often when) all other things stay the exact same. Begging the question, why?

Well, as you could image, this question’s a loaded one. With lifestyle, environment and many other factors playing a role. But at the top of that list may be the simple fact that one of our KEY immune organs, responsible for training and releasing the specialized T-cells which patrol our body, begins to deteriorate as we enter adulthood. For reasons we don’t really understand…
