Most people don’t realize that their Heart doesn’t beat with exact precision minute by minute. In reality, there’s quite a bit of disparity. And that is in-fact a good thing!

Because it means that the Heart in questions is flexible, resilient, and able to adapt based on the environment. Ramping up to a more consistent pace when stressed, and relaxing to an ever-changing disparate pace when relaxed. Making it a great way to gauge the overall state of ones nervous system.

And although both paces are necessary at times, one happens to be more preferred for ~95% of your day. With the official measurement used to track this physiological state being something called Heart Rate Variability (HRV). Thus, making any intervention that can help improve HRV, aka promote a relaxed and flexible nervous system, quite interesting for Longevity.
