Circadian Rhythms Strike Again | This time with the Immune System

The more I learn about the inner workings of our biology, the more amazed (and thankful) I become that ALL this happens without us humans needing to think twice about it. Because quite frankly, if we did, I think you’d agree, we likely wouldn’t be here.

Instead, nature has left us intelligent walking apes with only the simplest high level tasks, such as eating, drinking, moving and sleeping, to be responsible for in order to keep this finely tuned biological machine operating.

Pretty simple and straight forward, right?

I wish I could say it were, but unsurprisingly, there’s alittle more to it. As modern science has displayed that the quality and timing of these high level tasks ultimately dictates the function and efficiency of ALL the downstream, unconscious, biological operations mentioned before.

Meaning, when we consume ultra-processed foods & drinks, live an ultra sedentary lifestyle, and deprive ourselves of sleep, staying up into the wee hours on the night, we put our inner biological self in a position for dysfunction.

An example we see ever-so-perfectly when it comes to the alignment of our innate body clock – or Circadian Rhythms – and its impact on our Immune System function.
