To Protein or NOT to Protein”….. That is the question….

Or at least it was until a new debate arose around “How Much” To Protein. Not only per day, but also per meal! Because as it turns out, a growing body of literature on the topic is suggesting a few different approaches as optimal. Gotta Love Science, Right!

With the reality of the situation being, it likely has an “individual-by-individual” variation. That being said, there has been a growing belief that we humans hit a max “per meal” utilization somewhere around 30-40 grams. Meaning anything consumed above this threshold does not get used in productive ways.

However, this notion does not seem to be the full story. Especially when challenged with individuals who are active and focused of high quality sources of this essential macronutrient. And this new study highlights why…
